USC Aiken Family Fund
The 2018-2019 USC Aiken Family Fund is underway, and it’s one of the most important events taking place during our fall semester. For new members of our faculty and staff, The USC Aiken Family Fund is our internal fundraising drive. For years, USC Aiken has had the distinction of leading the entire USC System in regards to our faculty/staff giving percentage giving rate. In the past five years we have achieved an average of 85% participation rate among our loyal faculty and staff on campus. That’s almost unheard of today in colleges and universities nationwide, and we’re very proud of this accomplishment. Since its inception, The USC Aiken Family Fund has raised approximately $1.4 million!
The USC Aiken Family Fund initiative began this week and culminates on October 12, with a picnic celebration. We will continue our "friendly competition" among our departments to see who can achieve 100% from their area, and I understand there will be several new "additions" this year. One being Family FUNd Fridays. Each Friday in September there will be popcorn, drinks and door prizes for those who submit pledge cards. (More information will be coming about this and other activities from our Family Fund Team.)
This year I am happy to announce our two USC Aiken Family Fund Co-Chairs, Dr. Bridget Coleman, School of Education and Mr. Kevin Liles, University Police. Bridget and Kevin, along with more than 20 departmental volunteers will be in contact with you during these next few weeks. Everyone who gives to The USC Aiken Family Fund will be invited to a new culminating event… a Family Fund Picnic, which will replace the former luncheon.
At the end of the day, it’s not the amount you give, but that you believe in the mission of USC Aiken and want to participate. Thank you so much for this consideration.
